family & general information: though you'd never guess it if you knew her, charlotte andrews was born the daughter of a minister and a schoolteacher. timothy and melanie andrews welcomed their second daughter the evening of may 7th, 1986 in savannah, georgia. what wasn't apparent from the way their baby was quiet and generally hassle-free those first few months was that she'd quickly grow into being a handful. proceeded by a perfect older sister and quickly followed by the family's only son, charlotte began her fight for attention early on in life. she was the loudest and most rambunctious -- and though she had to go to church with the rest of her family on sundays, she was certainly the one that fidgeted the most. though she would grow out of her rough-and-tumble phase by the time she began school, sundresses and ruffles were commonly dirtied and ruined during her childhood.
though they were near complete opposites in temperament and personality, charlotte often found herself in her older sister's footsteps growing up. three-and-a-half years and four school grades apart, they never shared the same social circles, but they certainly shared teachers -- later, these teachers would go on to reflect on how much easier katelynn was to teach as a student -- and, when it came time for it, they shared the same ideas about college. when kate shocked everyone by going so far away for college, charlotte had never even put much thought into a world outside of georgia. when it was her own turn to go to college, she decided to head to the big apple -- the only city she imagined was better than her sister's selection of boston.
while a difficult student for teachers to handle, there was never any doubt that charlotte was smart. her grades reflected this -- not to mention the many extracurricular activities that her parents placed her in to get some of that excess energy out. she was easily accepted into nyu, where she promptly decided on a major in art history. everything else was just so boring, in her opinion. notably, this was also where she was introduced to acting. during her school years, she was often thrown into school plays and cast as the lead due to her popularity and her ability to belt out song numbers and dialogue, but working with her new friends on student films, she learned the nuances of acting. and, more importantly, when a few of these small films were shown in a local film festival, charlotte had her first brush with fame. her focus on art history from then on went downhill -- charlotte had found a new passion.

personality: above all, charlotte is spirited. she could never be described as timid. she's bold and headstrong, even when it puts her at odds with others; and, hell, it's not as though she's ever minded that in the first place -- even if these others could make her life hell. she's proud, occasionally to the point of stupidity and always in a way that gets her intro trouble. in fact, she always seems to be getting into trouble. she's selfish and manipulative, and far more willing to lie and bat her lashes than any good daughter of a minister should be. she'll do anything to get what she wants, though her fickleness frequently shifts her goals. she likes to imagine herself as complex -- a tangle of feminine mystery and mischief -- but her fiery temper often reveals nothing more than a petulant child. in short, she's a pain in the ass. her positive traits are few and far in between, but she doesn't really much mind. she is who she is: self-serving, determined, complicated, and entirely ridiculous.
